As Espécies da Quinta

A native swine breed from Northern Portugal. These animals can measure 1.8 m in length from the nape of their necks to the root of their tails. They are white, black or mottled in colour and produce litters that can exceed twenty piglets. This breed almost became extinct, but traditional and subsistence agriculture has helped ensure its survival, due to the availability of leftover fruits and vegetables.
