Also known as Portuguese cabbage, Portuguese cole, Portuguese tree kale or seakale cabbage, this cabbage variety is native to Europe. It has fleshy stalks and large leaves that are green to light green, with many white veins on both sides. It is a very tender cabbage that is eaten in Portugal at the traditional Christmas dinner. As a good source of calcium, vit can contribute to bone health.
