Curry Plant Helichrysum italicum Asteraceae

Recognised by its strong curry fragrance, this perennial shrub is also known as Italian strawflower or immortelle. It grows to a height of 60 cm and has abundant yellow flowers. Its essential oil has antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory and healing properties. Despite its name, it is not related to the curry tree or the spices of oriental cuisine.
