As Espécies da Quinta
This perennial shrub (in Portuguese: Hipericão-do-Gerês) owes its name to the fact that it grows spontaneously in the Peneda- Gerês National Park. It is also known as tutsan, sweet-amber or shrubby St. John’s Wort. Infusions from the aboveground parts of the plant are diuretics and can be used to treat liver disease, colic and cystitis. Unrestricted harvesting in its natural habitat can pose a risk to the conservation status of this plant. Gerês Hypericum Hypericum androsaemum Hypericaceae
