Parsley Petroselinum crispum Apiaceae

Also known as garden parsley, this biennial herbaceous plant is native to the Mediterranean region. Its leaves are bright green in colour. Due to their fresh and mild aroma, the leaves are often used as a condiment for meat, fish, salads, vegetables and sauces. It is a source of antioxidants and vitamins K, C and A. It has diuretic properties and can be used against colic pain, arthritis, rheumatism, cystitis and prostatitis.
